Cheryl Morrison is the Chief Operating Officer of Welby Health, where she leads clinical operations, client success, process governance, and the operational infrastructure required to scale the company's chronic care management platform. She reports directly to President and CEO Seth Merritt.
Cheryl brings 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across payer, provider, and PBM organizations in both Commercial and Medicare markets. Most recently, she served as COO of Providence Health Plan, where she drove over $30M in cost savings and eliminated a 140,000-claim backlog in under six months. Prior to Providence, she was Vice President of Growth Operations at Blue Shield of California, where she engineered the ASO "Connect" strategy and achieved 20% membership growth. Earlier in her career, she held progressive leadership roles at OptumRx and UnitedHealth Group, where she managed Fortune 100 client relationships with companies including Nike, Apple, Oracle, and HP, and contributed to $2B in revenue growth through targeted sales strategies. She began her healthcare career at Medco, implementing coverage across 4 million health plan members.
Across her career, Cheryl has overseen annual budgets exceeding $200M, led teams of 900+, and built a reputation for combining operational rigor with technology modernization to deliver measurable outcomes. She earned her degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Sacramento and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
